Courtesy of Mike & Pat Spence, FL & NC -  'Digger' & 'Maya'                                                                                                                               I was very proud to have been sent this particular photo.                                                         Maya had a very rough start due to a traumatic incident                                                         on her first day of adoption.  As a result, Maya became                                                         a stubborn, untrusting and unwilling adoptee for Mike                                                         and Pat but through their kindness, patience and love,                                                         Maya has become a true Spence Family member.  Her                                                         growth was chronicled by Mike to me through emails                                                         over a three month period.  Baby step by baby step Maya                                                         is finally accepting her adoption.  She absolutely adores                                                         Digger and Digger absolutely adores her...                                                                                         ....and they lived happily ever after!
